I recently found out that the LeMeridian Kuala Lampur offers something similar to this. I was extremely excited about this as I had never been offered this by any hotel before. Here are the offers I was given:

Guaranteed check in between 10am-2pm is $25 and between 7am and 10am is $50. The earlier check in also comes with a breakfast. Our flight arrives at 8am, so we took the 10am check in. A small price to pay for a guaranteed check in of 10am.

I was thoroughly stoked about this offer. I have contacted other Starwood properties about guaranteed early check in and each resort has a different policy.

If I had to book the night before to guarantee my early check in, it would have cost over $100.
