NH has 112 seats in Y, UA has 113 in Y-. UA's Y+ section features 35"-36" of pitch with the same 17.3" width; there are 70 seats.
NH does have 10 more staggered seats, but according to SeatGuru they are not full flat. SeatGuru also doesn't show any galley at all on the NH seatmap.
Feel free to correct me if the seatmaps don't reflect reality.
Sounds correct to me. I also checked Seatguru to see where the NH galley was but it was not indicated on the cabin layout. Off to the NH website now!
I just check the NH website and they show two 787 configurations:
Configuration 1
112 Y seats + 46 C seats = 158 total seats
Galley appears to be at the front and in the middle of the C cabin although not entirely clear.
Configuration 2
180 Y seats + 42 C seats (not staggered) = 222 total seats
Galley seems to be mostly in the front but again not entirely clear.
I assume Configuration 1 is used mostly for long-haul flights and Configuration 2 for regional trips in Asia. I don't know that for a fact however.
So, we have two configs.....one with many more seats than the other. The galley issue still remains unclear.
For comparison, the UA layout is: 36 C + 70 econ plus + 113 Y = 219 total seats.
