I get that they were old, but I don't think they were unaware because they KNEW what they had to do. Nobody was helping them or telling them what to take off...but they chose to do it at the last second. Once again it's a common sense thing..move your stuff out of the way. There are signs everywhere telling you what you need to do...take off your stuff, empty your pockets, move your stuff to the benches where everyone else is putting themselves back together.
How much of this is lack of knowledge and experience, and how much is blatant passive-aggressive "I'm gonna do what I want when I want, and slow everyone down, just because I can" behavior?
I think some retirees, after a lifetime of following rules, go out of thier way to intentionally not play by the rules any more.
