Thank you all for the comments and tips. In the end, I didn't have to make a choice

I am flying the a380 to FRA and chose the 747-8i to India. The connection time in FRA is around 2 hrs, so that's perfect for me. It will be first time on a 380 as well as a 747-8i, so am pretty excited.

I didn't get the flight via ZRH anyways, as it wasn't available on the dates I wanted.

I am happy that its the 380, followed by the 747-8i, rather than the other way around

I hope to make a trip report (my first one) as well!
