On my last trip, I asked the FA if she'd be interested in a book and stack of magazines I finished reading. She was thrilled to get them. Apparently, we do share the same taste.

I save up my magazines for flights and put them in the magazine cubby when I finish them, unless I tear out pages.

I still travel with books and leave them behind when I finish them. One time I left a book in a gate area and someone followed me to return it. Since then, I started putting sticky notes with "free" on them. (Yes, I keep sticky notes in my briefcase or backpack.) Many hotels and timeshares have a book exchange area in the lounge, so I leave my books there--and have found some new-to-me authors from the ones other people left.
