I'll at be Foz do Iguaçu in March of next year and consequently I'm looking for the best option for accommodation. As far as I can tell there are basically just two hotels to choose from: Hotel Das Cataratas on the Brazilian side, and the Sheraton Iguazú on the Argentinian side.

The Sheraton seems to have a higher profile and from what I can tell it also has the better views. The Hotel Das Cataratas however is an FHR property and seems much more of a true luxury hotel, however it does not seem to have the views and is on the "wrong" side of the falls for sightseeing and hiking. Prices are roughly the same if you go for a falls view room at the Sheraton. Despite the FHR affiliation for the Hotel das Cataratas there doesn't seem to have been any discussion about it here yet.

We're looking to spend three nights in the area. Should we go for the view and possibly lesser service at the Sheraton? Is the Hotel das Cataratas really a lot better than the Sheraton? Split the stay between the two?
