+1 to buy the lower ticket and let the fare locked tickets expire on their own. You can fare lock the lower tickets assuming that is an option but it will cost money again. Fare lock does not guarantee that the cost of tickets won't go down only that you won't pay more than from what you lock.
Look at it that you saved 120 a ticket minus a flat 30. I would be happy to save a little more money if I were in your situation.
