My comments - airlines are interchangeable - if you book your tour with the flights you be booked on whatever flight works best (i.e. earliest out from Bali). You'll find they will avoid Merpati though. All the others are a set price more or less.
Unfortunately the 3 agencies I have contacted all seem to default to MZ unless asked. I am hoping to fly TransNusa but thinking of Sky as a back up.
For your night on board your ship for Komodo - you get what you pay for. This covers everything from quality of toilets on board to having lifejackets. Please pick carefully, and research.
I have been reading LP forums. It would seem it is difficult to do this from afar as one is most likely dealing with middlemen and not the boat owners/operators directly.
