Okay, I've got a bit of a dilema due to a schedule change. Might work itself out down the line with other schedule changes, as the trip isn't until Sep 2013. We are flying SFO-LHR-ZRH-PMI, all segments in business with checked bags. Our previously 55m layover in ZRH has now been reduced to 40m due to a schedule change and is still considered a "legal" connection. LHR-ZRH-PMI is all on LX.

I can change routing while staying with the same airlines without paying a fee, so that gives me the option to route through GVA instead of ZRH but that connection is also just 40 minutes. The GVA routing is also nice as it reduces our 4.5h layover in London to 1h45m and gets us in to Palma in the early afternoon instead of late evening.

My question is: is either airport better for the tight 40m connection? Travel would be on a Saturday in late September and the connection times would be around noon in GVA and 2:30pm in ZRH.
