Just by way of update - I called the Gold Line again earlier this week and slightly changed the order and emphasis of the facts to the agent - starting off with the fact that I had a multi-leg BA/AA itinerary and (and I suppose this was key) the fact that it was the delayed BA flight from LGW to TPA that resulted in my missing the AA connection etc etc. Ofcourse, it then transpired that this was a booking made with AA.
The agent then asked for my ticket number and the AA flight numbers that were booked and said that they would deal with it (as a "mistracking"?) and as Dave_C correctly pointed out, that it would take up to 4 weeks to credit the TPs because of the liaison required with AA.
Logged on to BAEC this morning and hey presto after a grand total of 48 hours the missing points have been credited! ^^
Now, assuming that the domestic flights in Chile with LAN credit the handful of TPs I'm expecting, it's time to search for those threads on how to maximise the GUF2.
