I'm not really sure it's enough to harm an adult man. A bottle of wine is four glasses, equal to one "serving" of alcohol. Four drinks a night four nights a week, assuming that one drinks less the other three nights, is still within the realm of "normal" drinking behavior.

It's a good bit of drinking, a bit more than I do and I consider myself a "drinker," but I'd stop short of calling it excessive.
