The star awards issued through Airpoints are refundable less a small fee as long as cancelled prior to departure of the first sector. They can also be changed prior to departure, again for a small fee.
The cancellation fee is $100 per person but the $100 booking fee is not refundable. So effectively the cancellation fee is $200. I call that fee schedule misleading.
