I found a vague reference to there being a lower tier Platinum BA card, but supposedly there are different benefits. Does anyone have any experience of this? Does it affect the 100k? What benefits are affected? Is there any way of upgrading to the Visa Signature by simply switching over some of my credit limit from other Chase cards, or do they just keep you on Platinum no matter what?

Even with the Platinum card, you still receive the same 100,000 avios bonus. However, Chase will only consider upgrading you to Visa Signature after your first year, and only if you have a $5k+ cl.
