I acquired 100k miles from 2xCiti AA cards this year, along with the miles I earn from my normal flying. Assuming I requalify for PLT next year, that will be another 100k miles at least.
If you won't sign up for new credit cards, and you can't fly, then you don't have too many options.
You can also buy miles. AA has a promotion going on right now, where you can buy 90k miles for $1650.
