Nice option in Asuncion

Just completed a 2 night stay here. Booked a BRG rate of 120 USD per night (all inclusive, breakfast), was preupgraded to an executive suite.

Was picked up by the hotel on arrival - it did cost 32 USD, but as the previous poster said - it was worth it. On my way back today I just took a normal cab and that cost me about 18 USD...merely a 10 minute ride = 8 km.

On arrival the front desk agent, Sandra, was nice enough to inform me about the hotel and it's services.

Was taken to our suite, it was nice and large. Strange thing about this hotel is that it is hard to decide if it is old or new...cause it looks new, but then the hallways looks old and tired, the suite looks new, but the bathroom looks old...hmmm....

Anyway, the suite had a guest bathroom, large living room, a large bedroom and a large master bathroom. All very comfortable!

WIFI was VERY spotty throughout the hotel (except on the roof terrace), if I were a businessman doing business here, I would go crazy!

The lounge was open 24 hours. But it did only offer soft drinks, coffee and juice, except during breakfast and happy hour...well, well - not much of an happy hour in this hotel. There is absolutely no complimentary alcohol in the lounge during happy hour...quite strange, cause most lounges outside the US offers complimentary alcohol. It was not that expensive though (F&B was pretty cheap throughout the hotel). The food during happy hour was very nice though.

The rooftop pool was nice, so was the rooftop bar and the lobby lounge. The only downside was that the gym closes at 8 PM on Sundays.

Location also good - in a business district, but opposite a nice mall
