So there are US citizens with country of birth elsewhere, but who do not have and have never had the "elsewhere" passport. The alert you suggest would be a false alert and would inconvenience some pax.

And BTW, how much did the renewal of the Argentinian passport at the airport cost? Was it more than the $140 reciprocity fee you saved when entering? That'd be sad.
