Is this a route that can be booked for 15,000 avios round trip? I ask because a friend is looking to sign up for a card. If this is a route that only takes 15,000 with no fuel surcharges, it'd be idea with the latest offer for 50,000 avios from chase. I haven't had this card before so I don't know if there would be any restrictions w/ the bookings.
You will be using avios to redeem on Alaska Airlines for this route. This cannot be done online, you have to call. See this thread (all is explained):
