I have a few questions:

1) Assume I earnt 100k EQP in Feb. 2013, I´d be instantly upgraded to EXP status and receive 8 eVIPs valid until 02/14 AND would have already qualified for 2014 status and receive an additional 8 eVIPs valid until 02/2015. Correct?

2) If somebody else upgrades me using his eVIPs, can I still earn miles with a FFP other than AA?

3) Are there any pitfalls I should be aware of when attempting to upgrade using eVIPs other than upgrade availability? E.g. do I have to book on the AA website?
