There will always be outlier experiences. Sometimes people with an agenda, sometimes a personal taste clash, sometimes just plain bad luck.
I think of the Park Hyatt as the
foie gras of Tokyo luxury hotels. An acquired taste, not for everyone, but extremely intense and pleasurable experience for those who "get it".
