Just to answer myself: Just read the t&c on my statement for my type of card and it seems to say that you still get 5K pqm for $5k Ua.com purchases, another 5k for the first purchase after $35 AND 5k on the anniversary, But that United wont actually recognize more than a cumulative 10K, not the 15.
If that's so, why spend the $35k with this card?
IIRC, there was a 5k EQM bonus for signing up for the card, but there was and is no automatic annual bonus of either EQM/PQM or RDM.

(I have the old Platinum card)
You get 1 EQM for every dollar spent for tickets purchased on UA.com
only tickets
and the purchases needs to be on ua.com
no award copays, no baggage charges, no fees, no tickets bought with an agent, no star alliance purchases, only UA ONLINE and only TICKETS.
Right. But I think you can buy *A flights on UA.com and still get the PQM bonus.
