Hello flyers,

First post here - apologies in advance as a total newbie. I've searched the forums a fair bit but haven't been able to find enough information to come up with a miles strategy for myself.

I am an *infrequent* flyer that is not interested in status, only want to collect miles for redemption. Home is LAX, and historically most of my flying has been to/from PVG, SFO, SEA. Currently going to an international posting in AMS for at least a year, with occasional travel both transatlantic and within Europe.

I signed up for Flying Blue without really thinking and ended up getting 25% miles credited on my LAX/AMS rt due to the fare class (T). Oops. I've read that Delta SkyMiles can earn 100% for the same flight, and the miles don't expire after 20 months either. Is there still a chance to move those miles to SM?

I have an upcoming flight of the same itinerary as well and want to see if I can put it in the program that works best for me, whichever that is.
