At the Park Hyatt, write ahead to the hotel to request a room with a view of the Opera House. Don't count on getting it unless you have Hyatt Diamond status, but it can't hurt to ask. Perhaps mention that it is a "pre honeymoon honeymoon" so as to inform that hotel that this is a special trip.
The ferry rides in Sydney are half the fun of getting to wherever you're going. You can see the ferry terminal from the Hyatt...it's an easy, pretty, 10 or 15 minute walk. And Manley is a nice destination, to hang out at a beach, stroll around or both.
Also in Sydney: We didn't do the Harbour Bridge Walk, but hear great things about it.
