I think the Berlin folks have been alerted to the gravity of their mistake regarding the faulty Grand Suite description/photos/confirmations and are working more or less feverishly to sort things out.

While the smaller courtyard view suite will undoubtedly be the new entry-level suite for confirmed upgrades in the future, I suspect that they are now trying to honor all existing reservations where the Grand Suite was still advertised and sold as being 69 square meters with Berlin view.

As for roadwarrior365's outrageous experience: I told the hotel people about it and hope they will try to get in touch with him about it.

Everyone here seemed to be certain that the room descriptions/photos/reservation centers had been updated a few weeks ago when the small Grand Suites were finished.

Even though the whole thing was handled neither elegantly nor professionally, I would have to give them some credit for trying their best to correct things for all existing reservations.
