i just noticed some 'activity' in my reward account. i think the miles went down by approx 5k. to hazard a guess, my annual fee was due (in december) and since mine is an old account, some backoffice person or computer must have still processed the fee against miles against the old rules where the card was worth 5k fee, or 5k miles.

the earlier rules before may 2012 were, you get the card with a fee of 5k rs (if u pay it, u get 5k pm). if u don't pay u can also redeem 5k miles as the fee. but the interesting bit was that u also could get 3 ticket codes for every 1L spend upto first 3L spend .. worth 4500 rs itself.

anyone faced a similar thing yet? i am planning not to take this to my contacts in citi yet, lest this be closed out after an oops moment. my question is, if some people still have the old card (mastercard) with the 5k fee, would you rather pay the old fee of 5k, get 5k miles or pay 3k fee and get 3k miles under the current product design...
