is the 380 Biz seat a lesser make than its brethren elsewhere?
Always trying to get on the greatest plane on Earth but not always succeeding ... I sometimes end up in more ancient seats say on the 340 and - the God of Miles beware - the 747.
Everything on the 380 seat is the same or worse than on the others. Next to subjective impressions such as faster wear and tear, the creepy noises it sometimes makes when forced in the Bastelsitz, and loose footrests ... there are also two tangible items: the seat power and the lack of a compartment for glasses.
I regularly blew 380 circuit breakers at 55 to 60 watts this year. The 747 stretchers never pop below 60W and often I could suck as much as 75 Watts without any issues from the 340 seats.
But this time I got an ugly specimen of a seat which could not even support the lower 45 watts limit of my power supply! That is blowing the fuse at 75% of the lowest rated seats out there!
What did they plan this seats for? People charging their iPhones?
Or did good'ol LH know that the 380 Biz would have an ephemeral shelf life and hence purchase the most inferior components money can buy?
