At check-in, mention that you have a separate reservation for the next night so your account can be marked. For the same room type, I would say there's a 99% chance you would not have to switch. You may be asked to go to the front desk the next morning to handle any key coding or billing issues. In fact I would do that anyway just so you aren't accidentally locked out of your room.
