I booked a Hilton for 2 nights. Rats, discovered some time later that I erred on the dates by one day. Went to rebook correct dates, price way up. Then discovered if I booked the same date period, as two consecutive 1 night stays, I could get the same rate.

Is this legal for me to do? I don't mind changing rooms, I will mind if my booking gets cancelled by the hotel...
