i am 20 points short this year - received the email about double points in dec - no flights planned

i've had qr gold since 2008 - first year i will be short - i don't see any benefit to qr gold other than 50% bonus if you fly exclusively in j

last year a friend was in coach and i skipped the pt to be with him in the main terminal so we could use the gold lounge - they would not let them in because we were on different flights to india !!! i wondered why it mattered which flights they were on if we were there at the same time and i had enough passes - given the same flight restriction - even the 4 lounge passes are useless

they have the best j product imho - had to fly ba a couple of times this year to india - their club world feels so 90's compared to qr's j - but the benefits for ba gold are a world above qr's !!!
