Be careful, my partner just got "screwed" by BA on a similar situation. He accidentally missed his connecting flight from LHR to GLA. Probably mostly his fault, but partly because of the situation (delayed flight, may not have been announced in the lounge, some other mitigating factors I won't go in to). There was one other passenger who missed the flight as well, though obviously everyone else made it (I imagine few pax were in the lounge on a domestic flight?).

They made him pay GBP 175 to get on the first flight out the next morning.
