Bingo. The officials there seem to be very aware of any flight delays and try to avoid people misconnecting. Your connection time is more than sufficient. I've seen them hold flights on more than one occasion when the incoming was late, so as not to strand a bunch of people in NRT.
They have strong incentives to do this. A hotel room in Japan is expensive. Plus, since there usually is only one flight per day (and they're sometimes packed, so that it's tought to get a seat after IROPs), they can lose a lot of goodwill when someone misconnects. Folks are willing to accept NRT as a hub for Asian connections, but only if it's efficient, pleasant, and reliable.
