One of my bags that I'll be taking with me has one of those auto-locks. I shut the sides and it's locked. I don't need to put on a lock. The only way to open that would be to break that bag apart.
What happens if the TSA want to get into that bag. They'd have to smash that bag open....Then what?
You can only use a locking bag or bag locks that have the TSA logo on them, TSA has master keys. If that is not the case with your bag and they decide to break into it, it is your tough luck unfortunately.
I get that nice TSA notice every other time I travel. Seems they don't like my curling iron. LOL They rifle through the bag making a mess and sometimes things don't all get back in my bag. I do now keep the iron on top so when they open the bag it is the first thing they see. They still rifle the bag, but not as badly and things haven't gone missing.
