It might be me, but I did stay at the Conrad in Tokyo (used 2 FNNs or whatever Hil called them) and 1 night at the Courtyard down the block.I enjoyed the CY much more

No sense blowing a ton of pts for a Hotel where all you will really do there is sleep and shower. Even the Grand Wailea I spent more time everyday off the grounds then on them.

Id rather be in a Cat 3 hotel in a place I want to be in and do things then in a Cat7 soley due to it being a Cat7. Nor do I have to pick the most expensive Hotel under that Cat#. Yea it has to make sense to use the pts over paying but I just cant get over how all people want is to stay at the most expensive rate of a CatX

Its like Im gonna fly to Iraq not because I want to go there but solely due to it being the most expensive fare for X amount of miles. I cant make sense of it. I want to go to a place where there are things that interest me and not because I max out what my miles got me $$ wise
