Some time after CCU was announced, I wrote to CX in India asking why tickets were not being sold, and they said that in fact they were available from CX Indian booking offices. They gave me a date when tickets would be available online; this turned out to be wrong, it took longer. At one stage they were available from third party web sites, but not from KA or CX. Apparently this is just how they do it.
Thanks-- I guess I'll just have to end up calling in, which I've been avoiding. (My itinerary is not complicated, but does involve a stop-over and an open jaw, so I have a feeling doing it over the phone is going to take 2x as long as doing it online.) It's funny, because I think the last time I booked a plane ticket over the phone was in 1997.
