I understand that my domestic Y flight between SYD & MEL is one checked bag of 23kg. Has anybody got experience of Qantas being more lenient with excess/additional baggage if checking luggage through to a BA flight in F? Might Emerald status help even if it shouldn't? Got quite a few other QF domestics booked and don't want to pre-pay if no need. Thank you
If the flights are on the same ticket as your BA F flight, then the BA F baggage allowance will apply.
If not, you will get no leniency on the basis of your F flight or on the basis of your BA status. Rather mean in terms of the BA status IMO, because BA now gives extra checked baggage allowances on the basis of QF status.
