Would you give this NONSENSE up already? Please produce PROOF that DL sales of premium seats are way down (no, your anecdotal evidence does not count) in the Pacific. And if you bothered to analyze unit revenue and yield numbers year-over-year, you would have noticed that your "theory" is simply hogwash.
And I'm sure you know by now that a full cabin means NOTHING in terms of profitability. Please show again that a full NW premium cabin was truly full of premium fare-paying pax. NW may have been well-known in the Pacific, but it was known as being the CHEAPEST, last-resort option for many.
Planes were full, but full of cheap consolidator traffic. Don't try to rewrite history, please.
