I have to dig up this old thread. Does anyone know if UL is still relaxed on the hand luggage allowance? We are flying from MLE-CMB on UL Y next February. We are connecting through CMB to DXB then LAX so we are trying to do hand luggage only because it's a long way home and will try to avoid checked luggage. According to UL's website, economy passage can only have one hand luggage that's 7KG. We are going to have a roller bag and a backpack. Is that okay? Are they very strict about the weight? We are going to print our boarding ahead of the time. Will there be an issue if we have two pieces at the gate?
