I have never seen a more than half full cabin on any DL flights to Japan. I have seen a totally empty BE cabin with me being the only passenger in it a few times. Average cabin is about 20% full.
It is quite obvious that DL sales of premium seats are way, way, way down (many fold) vs. how it was with NW, as it seems to have lost all the good and experienced NW staff and relationships, and not to mention it was a stupid move to go with the generally unknown (outside of SE US) Delta brand.
