Andaz is probably the better hotel, so all things equal it is probably the better choice. Paying for all three nights might be an even better deal if you have an alternate use for the points that will yield better value.
On the other hand spending approximately 23k points (less the points you would earn on the $700 at andaz) to save an incremental $700 would also be a good value.
It really depends on your personal valuation of the points and your alternate uses for them.
EXACTLY -- I'm just not an expert on the valuation of points. For instance, heading to London in February and could stay at the Andaz using 18,000 points a night instead of paying big $$$. So that seems like a better valuation of points.
But to the issue at hand -- maybe the best idea is to use BRG 2 night rate and then use 22,000 points on third night as $445 rate (as of now) seems high.
