I'm spending June travelling through Asia and the Middle East. At the time I cross over, Asia to ME, I'm looking at using some cheap Biz options (WY/UL, third the price of QR), with a transit at Doha. I'll have checked baggage.
So, the questions :
Will I be using the new airport by then ?
Whichever airport, with checked baggage, if I transit from one carrier to another, will I have to enter Qatar (voa) to collect my luggage ?
If I'm entering Qatar, I'm thinking I may as well factor in a overnighter and a have a look around Doha.
(By the way, I will be going via QR and the PT on the way home).
