I'm trying to figure out PQM Chase Bonus on my Mileage Plus statement. I have both the Chase Select card and the Explorer card - I assume it's from the Select card?

I am trying to qualify for status next year like many of you and I will be very close to Platinum (not a heavy travel year for me). I need to figure out if I need to take a mileage run or not before EOY.

How is this number calculated? Is it based on United spend or something else?

If is based on United spend, wouldn't it be worth it for me to buy an expensive United ticket to which in the future I can use the credit for, suck it up with the $150 change fee as that's clearly worth getting some amount of PQM's.

Please help! I need status next year and can't find any good mileage runs. Thanks everyone
