I have a 29" Topas and it takes alot of damage almost every time I check it.

Damaged corner bumpers, popped rivets, dents galore. The frame by the handle always gets bent when the bag gets banged flat onto the top edge with the handle. The handle protrudes and when it hits a flat surface like the carousel it dents the frame in.

While I agree luggage this expensive should be more durable proportional to the price, the bag is very light compared to nylon bags, and the hard shell protects contents better. So weight savings and great protection of the contents.

The official repair shop in SF gave me no trouble when my corner bumper came off and even banged out the frame and dents too. All under warranty. I think he just threw in the dents for free, I doubt that's covered.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to be a Limbo buyer from now on. Maybe a Topas wheeled carry on if I ever buy another Topas.
