Just got to a helpful guy at Chase who explained lots of things.
(I have the old Platinum card)
You get 1 EQM for every dollar spent for tickets purchased on UA.com
only tickets
and the purchases needs to be on ua.com
no award copays, no baggage charges, no fees, no tickets bought with an agent, no star alliance purchases, only UA ONLINE and only TICKETS.
When I redid my math 3/4 of the miles I thought I was due went away.
The Chase statement is comfusing since it shows the RDM total not the EQM.
So: if in a month I spent 1000 online for tickets, 500 with an agent, 50 on a processing fee, and 300 for an award copayment, the total showing on the chase statement would be "3,700 miles earned on United purchases", but I'd only get 1,000 EQMs for that single ticket purchase at ua.com.
