Hello from another AZO native! Didn't know there were others here. Yeah the $150 change fee is high - but unfortunately that's pretty standard for discounted bucket fares like most non-biz people purchase - so the tradeoff is you get a nice "low" non-flexible fare that you pay to change - or you plump down the cash for a full Y ticket - which most laypeople will never do.
Speaking of which - nice new facility we have at AZO now. If only we had any flights to justify it. I just flew into GRR over thanksgiving bc it was over $200 cheaper - and it's such an easy drive. Less than 45 min from my parents' place. Heck, even OKC is ~20 min from my place in downtown here, so that's really nothing to save a bunch of money.
