Any chance of changing a TA award flt at the airport?

I have a BF award on a flt EWR-BHX-HAM on Saturday. There are still 3 BF seats (not showing as award seats) available on the EWR-HAM flt the same day. Do I have any possible chance of them agreeing to put me on the direct flt if there are still seats available on Sat? It's a *A award using US miles, if that matters. I don't have any status this year, either.
