Welcome to the Fairmont Forum Mary

But the weather in Wailea is often nicer than over near the Hyatt in Maui or in Kauai in November and you didn't mention how warm the heated pools felt for November As you know, I'm a convert from Hyatt Kauai to Fairmont in Maui I do miss the regency club, pool, and lagoon though.

The suite was very nice and well appointed. It was located right above the adult pool on 4. I have no complaints at all about our two nights there, and I used all my food coupons at Ko for a very nice meal. My only real comment is about the cost of the food - it is incredibly expensive to eat at the hotel, but perhaps I've just been spoiled by staying at Hyatt resorts and having access to their club on all of my stays.

But, I don't get all the enthusiasm for this property. Yes, the rooms are big, but you're really paying for 2 ordinary rooms. There's not much suite-like about the rooms. The service was attentive and they do go out of their way to be helpful and accommodating. I didn't find the grounds all that nice - they were actually ordinary and not what I expect from a higher end property in Hawaii. The Hyatt in Kauai has spoiled me with its spectacular grounds. Even the Hyatt in Maui has nicer grounds.

All in all, I would stay there again, particularly for the price I paid , but won't go out of my way to seek it out. I definitely wouldn't pay to stay.
