Long Layovers and Luggage Collection, Fees Questions.
I will be flying TXL-VIE AB (21+ hr layover) -FCO Nikki in January. I had a few questions for those who have done it before.

1) I assume since I land in VIE 10am ish and do not depart until the next day at 9:40am, I will be collecting my checked luggage, correct?

2) If I pay for a second piece of luggage TXL-VIE, will I have to pay again to check it for the final leg the next day VIE-FCO?

FYI, this was all booked on the same ticket through aa.com it was not booked as a stopover just a long layover.
