may i ask if you have used a uk-account for the money transfer? i had to cancel an award booking too. i just cancelled, called BA about sending a the cancellation receipt and tried to fill in the refund form provided on the ba website. thats now the confusing part. can you actually use the option "bank transfer" if you have a bank outside the uk? at least the form offers the opportunity to enter the IBAN. but there are also mandatory fields that require information that i just donīt have.
