The 35K to achieve Star Alliance Gold is a benefit that members earned in 2012 but are losing at end of Feb. 2013 as Aeroplan changes its elite tier structure.

However, since this is a survey for the best benefits of the past year, meaning 2012, this benefit is included in the poll. Next year we'll have to make sure to remove it as it will no longer be applicable.
