I believe the bonus posted in Dec would still make your PLAT last the whole 2013.
But I can see your intention to make the bonus happened in 2013.
You will never know even if you want to keep the card you may need to use it to get another card.
And if you cancel, big deal. Just get another one later when you are ready to use your pts (so you get the 10% rebate - just make sure you have the card before you make the redemption.)
We have ours for the 3rd year now but it may actually pay better should we rotate it out!
