I have been a Platinum for the past year and a half. No way to possibly re-qualify for Platinum status this year (45 nights so far). What happens if I stop short of 50 nights for this year? Will I be demoted to a Silver or is there a soft landing to Gold? Because my best chance to be a Platinum again is to roll over 35+ nights into next year!

FWIW, many of my stays have been at upper level properties... not sure if this matters.
